08-11-2003: "Afghanistan deel II"

Zo, onze vakantie in Turkije zit er weer op. Het waren drie geweldige weken. Ook wel erg bijzonder. Maris die vanuit Nederland kwam en ik vanuit Afghanistan. We ontmoetten elkaar toen in Istanbul. We hebben samen drie weken lekker rondgetrokken. In het noorden was het wat regenachtig maar in het zuiden hebben we heerlijk weer gehad. Een gehuurd autootje bracht ons overal. Het mooiste vonden we toch wel het merengebied nabij het plaatsje Egidir. De laatste dagen zaten we aan de kust en hebben we een beetje zitten luieren. Nog wel een tademsprong gemaakt met een parapent geval. Ik moet zeggen dat ook dat een enorme indruk op me heeft gemaakt. Wat is dat een bijzondere ervaring zeg!

Nu zit ik in Istanbul te wachten in een internetcafé tot het tijd is om naar het vliegveld te gaan. Vanmorgen heb ik Maris al naar het vliegveld gebracht. Pfoei, dat was wel weer een emotioneel afscheid hoor. Hoewel we elkaar over 4 maanden alweer zullen zien is het toch moeilijk om afscheid te nemen. Uiteindelijk is Afghanistan niet helemaal zonder gevaar en dat besef is toch ook wel aanwezig. Maar ik heb er toch ook wel weer zin in hoor. Ik ben weer op krachten gekomen en ben weer vol goede moed. Bovendien is het werk zeker nog niet af dus de drang om terug te gaan is groot.

Net ook nog naar de film geweest. "Pirates of the Caribbean". Voor de tweede keer trouwens want ik was twee dagen geleden nog met Maris wezen kijken. Maar ik vond hem erg leuk en ik had wel iets vrolijks nodig. Heerlijke heldenfilm. Ik kan hem iedereen aanraden. Maar mannen pas op: Na afloop wil je nog maar 1 ding... Ook piraat worden haha.

Ik zal proberen wat vaker een berichtje voor het weblog te plaatsen zodat ik jullie wat regelmatiger op de hoogte kan houden van de ontwikkelingen. Geen gemakkelijke opgave want email en internet in het veld is maar beperkt voorradig......

Maar de tijd gaat snel. Voor jullie het weten ben ik weer terug.

Nou, ik ga stoppen want de tijd begint de dringen......

pim ik ben afgekeurd voor het vliegen.daarover later meer ,
heee nog effe de tanden op elkaar en dan straks weer in nl verder.
Denk nog wel es aan je.
